IT that keeps the floor running.

From the front office to the production line, everything has to work. We make sure it does, every shift, every day.

When the line stops, everything stops

An hour of downtime is measured in parts.

Most manufacturers we meet already have IT support of some kind, often the company that wired the office years ago. It held up when the plant was smaller. Then the ERP grew, customers started sending security questionnaires, the Internet went down on a Friday with nobody to call.

A manufacturer measures downtime differently than an office does. An hour without email is frustrating. An hour without the ERP, the label printer, or the machine waiting on a file from the network is measured in parts not made and a ship date that moves.

So we build for uptime first, then for speed when something does break: monitoring on the systems production depends on, and an average response time of 17 minutes when your team calls. Security runs underneath all of it, with a 24/7/365 security operations center watching the environment at hours when nobody is in the office. We support both halves of the plant, the front office and the floor, and if you have someone in house we work alongside them rather than replacing them.

When production is down you reach an engineer, not a queue, and the call is treated like the emergency it is.

What we handle for manufacturers.

  • ERP and engineering apps supportedE2, Visual, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and whatever else runs your jobs, drawings, and inventory get monitored, backed up, and supported.
  • The systems production depends onEvery computer the floor runs on is monitored and maintained like the critical equipment it is. Where a station cannot afford to wait, we plan the spare before you need it.
  • Legacy equipment kept runningSome machines run software the equipment vendor validated years ago and will not support on anything newer. We keep those systems supported so an aging controller does not idle a work cell for a week.
  • Microsoft 365 done properlyEmail, files, and Teams set up with multi-factor authentication everywhere and sharing rules that keep quotes, drawings, and customer data inside the company.
  • A 24/7/365 security operations centerReal analysts watching your environment at all hours, not just software sending alerts. A suspicious sign-in gets investigated and shut down before it reaches the plant.
  • Recovery that accounts for productionBackups for Microsoft 365 and your servers, with restores tested against the systems production actually depends on, so a bad day costs hours instead of a week.
Built for the plant

Why manufacturing IT is different.

Two networks, two lifespans, and a cost of downtime that is measured on the floor rather than in the inbox.

Production equipment lives on a different clock

An office laptop is replaced every four years. A press or a test fixture is expected to run for twenty, and the computer attached to it runs whatever the vendor approved back then. We work with that: knowing which vendor owns which box, keeping those systems running, and planning replacements on your capital cycle.

Downtime has a number attached

Most manufacturers can state, roughly, what an hour of stopped production costs. That number should drive every decision: backup connectivity, spare hardware staged for stations that cannot wait, and a recovery plan written to get the line moving first. We plan around what stops the floor.

Your customers audit your security now

Prime contractors and large buyers now push security requirements down the supply chain, and Massachusetts supplies plenty of aerospace, defense, and medical device customers. Answering a questionnaire honestly is part of keeping the contract, and most of it is a set of controls plus written proof they run.

Straight answers

Questions manufacturers ask us.

Do you support our ERP system?+

We support the environment your ERP runs on and the client side your users touch: servers, cloud infrastructure, backups, network, printing, and access. For issues inside the application, we work the case with your ERP vendor so your controller is not stuck translating between two support desks.

We have machines running very old versions of Windows. What do you do about that?+

We do not force an upgrade the equipment vendor will not support. Those machines get documented, kept off services they do not need, and watched. Then we help you plan replacement on a capital timeline instead of on the day the drive dies.

Can you help us meet the cybersecurity requirements our customers are pushing down?+

Yes. We put the controls your customers ask about in place: who can reach what, multi-factor sign-in, activity logging, encryption, and rules for removable media. Just as important, we keep the written evidence that all of it exists and is working.

Do you cover second shift?+

Standard support runs Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm, with emergency coverage around the clock. Plants running extended or overnight shifts can move to our 7x24 support plan, which covers routine requests at any hour, not just emergencies, so a supervisor at 2am gets the same help the office gets at 2pm.

Can you work with our equipment and automation vendors?+

That is part of the job. We hold the vendor relationships, sit on the calls, and make sure the machine builder, the integrator, and the ERP provider are pointed at the actual problem instead of at each other.

What does IT support cost for a manufacturer?+

One flat rate, with unlimited support included, under our Keep IT Simple managed IT plan. No per ticket billing and no hourly surprises when a production system goes down at 4pm on a Friday.
